I had a great experience here. Personally, I have no food allergies. My food was delicious and it was a big enough portion that I took home leftovers. I have friends that have gluten allergies and peanut allergies and all of them were able to eat with ease. I loved my experience at Happy Valley.

My wife and I always love getting dinner here. Their lo mein is superlative! I always order the Lo Mein and the Hot Pepper Chicken (chinese style) They are so delicious that I can't bring myself to order anything else!

I used to go to Happy Valley all the time when they were at their old location. Today's hot pot was exactly like it used to be back then! Terrific thin sliced meats with seafood, noodles and vegetables. Fried wantons were excellent!

Good but little spot for a wide range of Chinese dishes, most of which I will never try. I like having them around, I have sat down here and had the mean as well as take out. Clean, quick. Egg rolls not too greasy.

Excellent! Much more authentic then other places. Much better selection of dishes. We have been working our way through the menu and all have been delicious and not the same boring Americanized dishes as other places. So glad they are in Manhattan!! We are ready after a year, to add to another post: We enjoy the atmosphere of semi privacy with use of sheer curtains, but we can see what others order and are eating. It is a relaxed atmosphere and the waiters take good care of the clients. We have grown fond of the house salad that is served cold with glass noodles, bean sprouts, carrot strips, cucumber pieces, pork and other things like fresh squid. I also like the pork strips with elephant ear fungus and bokchoy. My daughter fell in love with the eggplant and mashed potatoes. They offer communial hot pots which many Oriental groups enjoy. We have always found the meals to be generous so part of your meal can be saved for lunch the next day. Please Manhattan, support this little Chinese jewel. They can season dishes to your liking and you will enjoy the food. And we found the building is clean, as are the tables, the staff and the food. So I hope you enjoy a new menu and experience, as my husband, and I, and various family members and friends enjoy Happy Valley Chinese
